Dissapointing Quality This item looks great on the web, but we were dissapointed when we saw it in person. The gears, etc. are a sheet metal. The handpainting gives it a cheap, rather than an antiqued look. The levers were seperate pieces welded together, adding to the amatuer feel. The clock face itself is paper glued to the base and the brass decorative circle in the middle is a piece of thick wire shaped and adhered to the paper clock face.Overall, it looked tacky, not whimsical, and wasn’t worth…
Cool style, looks good on wall above television I have been eyeing this piece for the past few years. When I finally got a house, I stopped seeing it in catalogs. After reading the reviews, I was a little concerned with the build quality of the item and hoped it wouldn’t look cheesy.
